I don’t know about all you other Milk Free Mamas, but by the time Friday rolls around I can barely keep my eyes open. After all the hustle and bustle all week of tending to the kiddo, caring for the house, getting dinner on the table, and that little thing called work, I really need a few minutes to do something for myself. Just giving myself a five minute break can feel like a much needed mini vacation. That’s why we’re kicking off a new weekly little gem that we’re calling Friday’s Take-5; Ideas to spoil yourself that take under five minutes.
I was sitting in my kitchen craving something sweet, feeling exhausted and overwhelmed from everything that still had to be done. I figured, HEY! I deserve to treat myself. I may not have an hour or even 20 minutes to devote to myself, but heck I can spare five minutes! I took to the interwebz in search of something yummy I could whip up in a jiff, and stumbled upon this two-minute microwave pumpkin pie recipe from Shape Magazine. It curbed my craving, forced me to relax for a minute, and left me feeling a bit recharged. So do yourself a favor and take five minutes for yourself, mamas. You deserve it!
